What we do with the data before the report.

Raw data comes in different formats and languages. Before it reaches the report, it goes through the same steps.

  1. 01

We link everything to the VIN

Every record is searched by the 17 characters, not by the number plate, which changes on import.

  2. 02

    We clean the mileage

We remove readings that are obviously wrong and those dated before the car was built. A drop against an older reading stays and is flagged.

  3. 03

    We translate and convert

Service work appears in the report's language. Damage costs from abroad are converted into the report's currency at the National Bank of Romania rate, and rounded.

  4. 04

We protect what isn't about the car

Number plates in photos are covered, and source names don't appear in the report.

Questions about the sources.
What buyers want to know about the report data.
From several types of sources: damage databases, service records, the Romanian vehicle register, stolen vehicle databases, sale listings and manufacturing data linked to the VIN. The market value is an estimate, not a record.
For each piece of information you see what matters when checking the car: the type of record, the country, the date and the mileage, where available. Data providers' names don't appear in the report.
The history depends on the countries the car has been through, its age, where it was maintained and how repairs were reported. For some cars we find many records, for others only a few.
It means there is no damage claim in the sources we checked. Repairs paid directly at a garage, without insurance, usually don't end up in a claim, which is why an inspection at a garage before buying is worth it.
No. The report shows the last technical inspection and its validity for cars registered in Romania, but it is not an official RAR Auto-Pass certificate.
It is an estimate for the Romanian market, made for the car's make, model, year, mileage and configuration. You see it as a price range, as a reference for negotiating.
